You will be astonished by the spectacular beauty of the Ennedi and Tibesti, probably two most beautiful parts of the Sahara. There are many beautiful archeological like the ruins near the localities of Yen, Ai-Galaka and Kirdimi, the caves and frescos of Kazer and Yarda near Tigui. Each year a tropical weather system known as the Intertropical Front crosses Chad from south to north, bringing a wet season that lasts from May to October in the south and from June to September in the Sahel.

Due to few precipitations, this is the area for the steppe of thorny bushes mostly acacias that gradually gives way to a savanna in Chad's Sudanese zone to the south. Yearly rainfall in Sahel belt is over 900 mm. The region's tall grasses and extensive marshes make it favourable for birds, reptiles, and large mammals.

The Zakouma national Park located in the south is the spot here. It is entirely surrounded by the Bahr Salamat Faunal Reserve. You can take part to a savannah safari and trekking in the numerous mountains of Chad.
