Located in the heart of Africa, the Congo Basin is a large marine and forest ecosystem of about 520 millions hectares that includes Cameroon, Democratic republic Of Congo, Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

To guarantee the survival of all these animals, protected areas of a total size of about 27,906,500 hectares of which 35 national parks have been created.
